Potential use of intelligent packaging in urban logistics: Public and private sectors vision
The conflict between stakeholders involved in freight transportation is a major complicating factor for the development and application of new models and plans regarding freight management. This study evaluates the potential use of technology and governance through cargo data sharing between public and private managers, coming from intelligent packaging. The results obtained in survey and interviews with these sectors show there are significant opportunities on data sharing for real time decision-making, improving urban logistics.
